Summary: Remember when the son of Satan was a little boy with emotions inversely proportionate to his pure sadism? Well, it inevitably got redone...for a given definition of "redone".

History: Thorns produce kid, kid makes animals go crazy, people kill in his name, he kills as well, he's actually the Antichrist, you know how the story goes at this point.

Notable Kills: Everything he does in the original mostly translates to here, though his mother's death is extended.

Final Fate: The President ends up adopting Damien after the deaths of his entire family. If you want to know how well that ended, just see the original sequels, and see how well that sh*t-eating grin ages.

Powers/Abilities: Mind manipulation and the powers of Hell.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 4-Damien is just as conniving and karma-averting as he ever was. Trouble is the CGI used in some of his kills sours the taste a bit. Also, there's next to no difference in what's occurred between here and the terror of 1976.

Trivia: -Rather hilariously, Damien's actor, Seamus Davey-Fitzpatrick, was never told his character's true identity as the Antichrist due to some being worried about what it'd do to his mind. At the very least, he was good at taking directions.

-Another rather baffling thing was that during production, Jim Carrey was considered to play as Damien's father. But then, that kid wouldn't have to be Hellspawn to want to murder his dad.
